What to Do as We Enter into Covid Season 4 (Not a TV Series)

Covid19 has worn out its welcome.

We’re about to go into our fourth season of hiding from a virus.

I’m feeling it as are my clients. Here are tips for coping. 

 Are you feeling any of the following:

➡ More tense or irritable?

➡ Less motivated?

➡ Decreased focus?

➡ Greater fatigue?

➡ General malaise?

If so, this is the time for EXTREME SELF-CARE.

These times call for going above and beyond the usual self-care tips.

Here are my suggestions:

1️⃣ Give yourself permission to not be as productive every single day. Pushing yourself is only going to backfire. You’ll end up more exhausted and frustrated.

2️⃣ Get extra rest. Get into bed earlier than you’re used to. Read a book (not work related), flip through a magazine, or listen to music. I know a woman who colors in her adult coloring books in bed to help her relax and unwind.

3️⃣ Increase healthy foods and decrease unhealthy ones. You’re using a lot of energy (hence, the fatigue) just to figure out how to navigate life these days. Refuel yourself.

4️⃣ Laugh. Call a funny friend or watch a favorite sitcom. Boost those endorphins.

5️⃣ Ask for help. This is not the time to “tough it out.”

Bottom line: be kind to yourself.
